I've done a lot in the social work sector. Visiting with children who've been abused by their parents and taken in by the state? Done it. Arguing for those children in court so they wouldn't be revictimized? Done that, too. Volunteering over the weekend at a rape crisis center? One of the most sleepless nights of my collegiate career. But one experience in particular truly makes my heart full. For the past 2 an a half years, I've helped facilitate food pickups at Extended Hands Pantry, an incredible place that focuses on feeding immigrants and refugees in the Madison area.
