From founding The River Food Pantry to creating Extended Hands, Andy and Jenny Czerkas have spent decades ensuring no one in Madison goes hungry. Their compassion continues to change lives every week.
At Extended Hands Pantry, compassion meets action. Founded by Andy and Jenny Czerkas, both longtime Madison volunteers, the pantry is a lifeline for families facing food insecurity — including newly arrived immigrants like a Haitian family who were moved to tears by the simple gift of free groceries. With decades of service behind them, from launching The River Food Pantry to supporting mobile food efforts during the pandemic, the Czerkases continue to embody the spirit of giving, ensuring no one in our community goes hungry.
