Our founders, Andy and Jenny Czerkas, were named Outstanding Individual Philanthropists by AFP in recognition of their decades of dedication to serving families in Dane County.
In 2024, Andy and Jenny Czerkas of Extended Hands Pantry were honored as Outstanding Individual Philanthropist by de AFP. Their journey began in 2006, when they founded the first pantry after witnessing too many Madison families forced to choose between rent and groceries. Today, through Extended Hands Pantry, they continue that mission - uplifting immigrant, refugee, and low-income families across Dane County with dignity, compassion, and culturally nourishing food.
